Alligators on River Bank
by John White
A tribute to the Endangered Wildlife of Florida;
those with leaves and those with legs,
so goes the Ecosystem, so goes Humanity.-GW
Any study of Florida's Endangered Species
should begin with her wealth of Fossils,
then continue with her:
Indigenous or First People,
Amphibians, Birds, Butterflies, Ecosystems,
Fish, Mammals, Plants or Flora and Reptiles.
We, the Human Race, are arrogant in thinking that
because we do not understand the language of animals,
that what they are saying is not of consequence.
Indeed, the animals are speaking to us and
for their sake and ours, we must start listening. -GW
